Digital Items & Accounts

Shopandsell will not allows the sale or trade of digital items or accounts on the site. There is often an elevated risk of viruses, copyright infringement, and fraud when buying and selling these types of items. The safety of our community is always our top priority, and as such, we've made the decision to prohibit the sale of digital items and accounts.

This includes:

  • Gaming accounts (Fortnite, World of Warcraft, Steam, etc.) and related items (skins, in-game items/money, etc.)
  • Accounts with multiple device allowances (Netflix, Spotify, iTunes Music, etc.)
  • Digital copies of movies, music, books or software
  • Any other digital good that you are not authorized to sell
  • Any devices, accounts or services that actively enable the infringement of or unauthorized access to digital media

What’s the risk of buying access to an account?

Unlike taking over a gym membership or a phone plan, there is no officially supported way to take over online accounts. Due to this, accounts are still in the control of the original owner, even after they’ve sold it. Fraudsters use this to regain access and kick the buyer out after payment is received. On top of this, most companies do not allow the sale of accounts, meaning that you run the risk of the account being closed for a violation of their Terms of Use.

Cannabis & Related Items

While cannabis is now legal across US, it remains a controlled substance and there are restrictions on the direct or indirect promotion of cannabis or its accessories. As such, we do not allow the direct sale or trade of cannabis or items containing cannabis on the site.

The following items are prohibited:

  • Cannabis and blends containing cannabis;
  • Edibles containing cannabis;
  • Cannabis based oils or creams;
  • Other items containing THC, CBD or any form of cannabis extract;
  • Cannabis seeds;
  • Hookahs, bongs, and vaporizers;
  • Pipes and rolling papers;
  • Promotional items with cannabis logos, such as calendars, hats, and shirts;
  • Memorabilia, posters, or similar items (including vintage) for cannabis products;
  • Collectible packaging that's completely empty (no cannabis inside the package).

However, we do allow:

  • Jobs within the cannabis industry

Display Advertising

Although we do not allow the sale of Cannabis directly on Shopandsell, legal distributors may be permitted to advertise their brand through banner ads.

Tobacco & Related Items

Due to strict government regulations, we have a policy against the posting of any tobacco products such as loose leaf tobacco, cigarettes and cigars. After careful consideration, and at the request of our user community to keep the site child-friendly and in compliance with federal and local legislation, we have also adopted policies against the following:

  • E-juice/vape juice;
  • E-cigarettes;
  • Shisha Molasses that includes tobacco;
  • Nicotine inhalers or nasal sprays;
  • Ads that include photos of any of the above items even if the ad is for something else;

To ensure that a car seat complies with U.S. safety standards for child restraint systems, the relevant standards are set by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA)

1. FMVSS 213 (Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 213)

FMVSS 213 sets the minimum safety standards for child restraint systems in the U.S., including child safety seats and booster seats.

  • Key requirements: The standard includes performance tests to ensure the car seat provides sufficient protection in the event of a crash, proper fit for the child, and secure attachment to the vehicle.

  • Website: NHTSA - Child Car Safety Seat Regulations

2. NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration)

NHTSA is the main U.S. authority on child passenger safety and is responsible for enforcing FMVSS 213.

3. Car Seat Labels and Certification

To verify if a car seat complies with U.S. standards, look for the label or sticker on the seat, which typically includes the following information:

  • Compliance with FMVSS 213

  • Manufacturer details

  • Instructions for proper installation

Key Safety Tips for U.S. Car Seats:

  • Always choose the right car seat based on the child’s age, weight, and height.

  • Ensure proper installation of the car seat (many states have free inspection stations where you can get help).

  • Rear-facing seats are recommended for infants and toddlers until at least 2 years old, as they provide better protection in the event of a crash.

For Further Information:

If you're looking to purchase or ensure a specific car seat complies with these standards, you can use the NHTSA resources to check the compliance and proper installation instructions.
